Don't think we'll finish top 4, but if we come through the next 10 games still in contention when we have to play Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal then anything could happen.

To finish top in the table you have to get points from the other top teams; that's 36 points from the other 6 top teams in the Ligue. United have dropped 8 in their first 3 games: Chelsea (sans striker), Liverpool, City. Mark me as one who does not expect United to turn it around after January and start getting these points.

Paddy Power odds are shortening, but Everton are still the outside shot.

Chelsea 0.11
City 0.14
Arsenal 0.29
United 0.62
Liverpool 1.10
Tottenham 1.25
Everton 7.00
Southampton 18.00
Swansea 125.00
Albion 150.00

*odds to finish top-4

Arsenal have not played Chelsea, man city, man utd, Liverpool or us yet. Looks to me they have had a bit of an easy ride so far. At least everton have had man city and Chelsea out of that group so far, probably the best teams in the league.

5th yo!

Sign me up for that Optimism Brigade.

1. Arsenal (Call me crazy)
2. Chelsea
3. City
4. Man Utd (They'll come back, reckon they'll spend big in Jan)
5. Everton
6. Liverpool (Will be very close with us, could go eitehr way)
7. Spurs (Praying for them to fade away, however unlikely)
8. Saints (Looking good this season, but willl fade away like WBA last season)
9 and beyond.... NEA!

Sadly, 5th would be like winning the league, that's how far ahead the others are financially. If we can finish above Spurs and Liverpool we've had a really good season.
