This is true, you go back even to Moyes and Ancelotti has them winning and drawing games they would have drawn and lost

Ancelotti called them out on effort and attitude and, Gomes especially, responded
Edit; I though Mina turned into a right nervous nelly after he let it bounce in the box for their goal

It got remarked upon on my feed, no replay, but they said...early on in the season it would've been a pen.
But the none rs...some ex Leeds nomark player...commentator was able to say, not being brainwashed by sky, that the early season ruling was plain stupid and some sort of common sense is now in play

So I take back the nomark label - sound him.
 
Well well , after seeing the team sheet , the nominated Captain I stated i was on my way for an early Kip , but Carlo came up with a master plan none of us could have expected
I not exactly a Siggy fan but a goal and pin point corner for the 2nd ?

If there was a MOM for the starting 11 I would have gone for that they all worked their socks off the team spirit was 200%
, Carlo made sure of that after the Newcastle debacle !

I don't normally give our opposition plaudits however Leeds deserve it they are a breath of fresh air , the game had everything you couldn't keep your eyes off it !

Excellent win, after being given a scolding in public by Ancelotti. Some top top performances by Olsen (hascto stay in as number 1), Doucoure and in particular Godfrey. Now for Manu.

Sorry never actually finished got side tracked - pesky work got in the way !

I . went for Olsen MOM , great saves , ball distribution and commanded the area and crosses , The wall in general were excellent , Holgate did lose his cool at times , Gomes put in a decent shift IMO , Doucoure exceptional and cant wait for him and Allan back on together

Hand ball - Deffo IMO , were,s the Ref and VAR ……………………….. ?!

Manure NEXT , they are on a flyer , buts that's another Thread .

It is interesting reading the comments about Olsen ,I think he has done enough to be given a run but those who are lauding his performance as confident should re watch the game he flapped at some of the saves .
OK I would rather he did that than tried to catch the ball only to make a big gaff but his performance was not special .A mention too for Andre Gomes and Siggy they have had a hard time on here recently but they both played well last night .
Davies needs to be coached out of the unnecessary dribbles that end in him giving the ball away ,usually to an opponent in a great position .
We have done quite well which I think is the main reason Carlo has held Allan back but we need him at the weekend .
Lastly a mention to the master he is a real tactician and we are starting to see his value changing the team about ,something we have not got used to having had a thin squad for years .

thought Olsen did really well and caught a few balls others would have punched. I think the perception of his confidence is relative to what we usually watch week in week out.

Gylfy did well for his goal last night and was better than usual, I just expect more for £45m and a club record signing and always will. Gomes was good but lacks so much on trying to win the ball back. Scholes couldn’t tackle but Andre isn’t Scholes so he needs to be more consistent.

Davies came on and tried to retain possession. He did get caught quite early on but then did brilliantly when surrounded - I can’t rem much more regarding him apart from that.

I think Carlo has shown his skills recently and particularly in changing how the team has approached games - we simply haven’t seen this in a very very long time. We do need to be better at home though.

it’s nice to be in the mix at the top end of the table for a change.
 
Went for Gomes, personally, tough choice. Godfrey was superb throughout but Gomes got it just because he showed what we bought and what we saw in his loan spell.

As was mentioned above, all get at the very least 7/10.
 
Hardest motm to choose in a while. Godfrey was animal. Great pace. Powerful. Good feet and does he love a slide tackle which he times to perfection with force. Mina was excellent. Slightly at fault with their goal but he was immense. He must have won every header and as usual comes forward with the ball. Really could be player of the season for me.
Doucoure was the box to box engine both offensively and defensively and was so important to our game yesterday. Gomes was also excellent. He has greatly improved in recent months and
