I went for Doucoure, as he was the engine room. Gomes had a very good game as well, and Godfrey seems to have a good game every time he plays, he's a very promising player and one of the few we have who plays in the "modern" way, all pace and power, doesn't dive in or go off his feet very often.
I went for Godfrey but wouldn’t have begrudged Doucoure he was outstanding as well, I don’t think Godfrey is a very promising player, he’s come come ready made, and now he’s got his own position I hope he doesn’t lose it.

Reading over on Leeds forum. These new fans are very very naive arent they.

Fifa fans I recon. The art of defending is almost seen as an insult these days.

If Leeds had our defence, they would be top of the league with City.

Thought Sig did very well, not only a goal & an assist but it looked to me like he sat on Philips much of the game to stop them playing through him. Noticed Philips a lot in the home game but only a couple of times last night.
Should really give him MOM but as usual these days I went for Godfrey.
Unless Alan comes back we will see it again next game but with Fernandes I think.

I've got to say, the wisdom of crowds is demonstrated so well in the MotM polls in this forum.

1. Godfrey
2. Olsen
3. Doucoure
4. Gomes
5. Mina

That feels pretty much spot-on to me - though I think Olsen is above Doucoure purely because our expectations of what a great goalkeeping performance is have been lowered.

I don’t get this marvellous saves bit. Olsen created the whole situation with a pass he shouldn’t have made. I’m no Pickford fan but in the same situation he would have been crucified on here.

This is a really bizarre narrative that some people are using.

The pass wasn't even that bad! Not one I like to see as I always want my goalkeeper to boot it anywhere over the half way line as it's less stressful but the pass was fine, put Doucoure under pressure but that's what passing out from the back does. An awful lot happened between that pass and the shots coming in so they should be judged on their owner merits. It was hardly a massive gaff like some are making out.

Pickford would only be crucified for the same pass if they ended up scoring from it which is probably a bit unfair as a lot had to happen before the shots came in.

Second season syndrome next season for them I think. Seen teams come up and do what they’re doing so many times and fade away. They need to keep their feet on the ground and not get carried away.

Very good win. Made heavy weather of it in the second half though.

Godfrey was immense again... this lad is something else.

Leeds were very fit and so quick. At times it was like they had 2 extra players. I like the way the way they play. Good game to watch.

Every Leeds game is a decent watch. I love what they bring out of other teams. If you're not ready to battle one-on-one, be up for the physical challenge, or be prepared to attack, they will tear you a new one.

Both our games with them have been proper honest footy.

I hope we can motivate ourselves to play at that tempo and with that ferocity against other opposition.

Always have mate. Stems from being unable to win at your ground year after year after year after year after year after year after year year after year after year after year ( you seeing a pattern)

You go 20 odds years getting sod all at the same stadium and tell me you wouldn't fkin hate your lot ;)

Having half a team of man buns only reaffirms my commitment to hating Leeds as well.

Well, you broke the pattern. Good game of football. No deliberate dirty actions from either side. A good win. We'll see you next season.
Stay lucky!

They need to calm down. They are like that proper hyper younger cousin who just never sits still.

All this amazing attacking they do....its all just gun-go, hit into the box and hope for the best. They play 1 striker, and aim for him.

Its quantity and not quality with them.

Indeed.

Very talented lad - would like him as our RB target in the summer if the dough is there.
Raphina at right-back?

Good player like, but pretty sure he's a winger.

What do you think about Mason as our RB solution? Originally I thought he'd be a versatile squad player able to fill in across the back four, but thought he looked good there yesterday and even offered an attacking threat at times...

New fans is a great shout. My cousin who is 50 & Leeds fan texted me straight after to see well done and great game. Hes seen them in the lower leagues for years and is enjoying them back in the PL. Understands the game unlike these new fans who expect to win every game because they play a certain way. We could have been out of sight with the chances they gave us tonight in the first half.
