Was very, very happy with Godfrey and Gomes last night, easily the two standout players. I thought Digne and Sigurdsson put in much improved performances than against Newcastle, while it was also nice to see DCL score, albeit I was frustrated with the several simple chances he missed.

Richarlison still appears to stink the place out and I think it's a matter of time before he's benched in place of King. You cannot carry players for so long, and it's not good to continue picking him when he's barely affecting the game. It's been like this for a long time now.

Olsen did well, but also needs to remember it's a fatal mistake to try fancy balls out of defence like he did with Doucoure last night. Once he cuts that out of his game I think he's a big improvement on Pickford. I'll be disappointed with Carlo if Olsen isn't told that the starting place is his to lose.
You also predicted we would get bukkakied 7 different times in the match thread. I vaulted you. But then, in the spirit of good will. I left it.

Because it was a new pitch. Hadn't knitted properly and the rain made it treacherous.

Looking back on it, it was a weird game. We were really good in the first half, and were perhaps a bit lucky in the second. Generally though I do think we need to improve our second half performances, as we’ve had dreadful second halves in a fair few games now this season

Better these second halves than capitulation

When the match was on I could only follow on audio. Late last night I got a chance to watch a replay on a stream and wow, what a great fast-moving game that was. Based in large part on comments here, I was under the impression that Everton dropped off dramatically during the second half but it looked to me as if Leeds just upped their own game and put Everton on the defensive, but without preventing the team from strong countering.

If I'd been a neutral unfamiliar with footy, that match would've turned me into an enthusiast. Great stuff.
