I make no apology for going back to this ridiculous decision to treat the Villarreal game like a circus side show rather than the full and serious last chance to hone the first team for the games coming up.

When was the last time we had a young defender come through the ranks and actually become a mainstay? Hibbo?

He seems to have made great strides in both confidence and ball skills over the past year or so. Nice to have a really fast defender as well that can be relied on to get back and make a good tackle if we are pushed up high and there is a break.

Think so, he looked comfortable at RB against Stoke a few weeks ago so I'm hoping Martinez prefers him as cover for Coleman over Hibbert, as well as being a back up CB.
