I think you might as well include social media following if you're going to go off things like that. But it wouldn't support your idea, apparently.

I personally think the conversation is thrown out as soon as you get to 3 league titles and one FA cup.
I couldn’t tell you who has what on social media tbf . I’m sure their popularity on social media will rocket now they are back in the prem. I mean as much as I hate the premier league, it’s the place to be for exposure. I suppose we all have different opinions. I have them comfortably top ten in English football.

Not bad from us that as we have had the capacity cut for decades, certainly over the last decade of prem football we could easy have added at least 5 thousand to are average gates.
Not sure you’d add 5k to it. Newcastle have been pulling in 50k for years and their average hasn’t gone up that much. The average is not as straight forward as you think. It takes a while before it goes up to a noticeable level . You have always been one of the really well supported clubs along with Spurs and Newcastle historically. Then you’d have clubs like Villa and Sunderland the level below .

Citing attendance figures from anytime before all seaters should have an asterisk, I mean Everton’s 78,000 record attendance is twice as many people as Goodison holds now

Only this. Over a season, you earn where you belong the season afterwards. We win enough games, we win the league, we don't win enough to stay up, we get relegated. Doesn't matter if either of those events happen often or only in distant memory. It's taken them 16 years to get back to the top flight, so the indication to me is that they are starting from a low base compared to the other more established teams in the top division. I would think that they are facing relegation battles, but if they stay up and beyond who knows. I can't even see them doing a Sheffield United and getting top half in their first season up.

We all know Leeds reputation for horrible fans, is this still the case? Or have they been calmed down by being exposed to a more sanitised game and more media coverage than ever before?
There's always some idiots that get to much beer down their necks and have that bit of Dutch courage. There is an away pub at Leeds Dry Salters . Plod will catch most now with all the cameras pointless causing trouble. We're nice now.

Everton's attendance figures are notoriously dodgy right back into history - saying they were legitimate would be akin to saying VAR is a perfect system.

I bet a the record attendance figures for a lot of clubs are jarg. But also the stadiums physically held more people with terracing, and it was much cheaper to see a match relative to what people earned then. Even if Goodison held 78,000 people now, the ticket prices would keep attendance far below that.

Leeds are a big club, or were when I grew up. However football is not predimately played, moderated, organised by blokes like me and you. It's an international game. They are a club who've had no top flight exposure for 15+ years. If a German club came up after 15 years, would you know who they were?

We have a similar issue with viewing ourselves as an elite club. No trophy,no league, a small splattering of European football over 30 years. We do at least have top flight exposure though.

Koln had a promotion and took 20000 to Arsenal for a European game . 2017. Unbelievable support,Celtic or Rangers type .Makes our 8000 this season look poor
