Leeds fan here. First of all, thanks for a great game, incredibly entertaining and I'm sure most of you will agree a fair result.

After 16 years out of the top flight, it makes a change to be playing a team who fills our away end. Over the last few years, it only gets filled 2 or 3 times a year; usually Sheff Wednesday but not always, local team Huddersfield, Sheff Utd, Boro perhaps, and thats it.

However, numbers don't always translate into great support, Wednesday are always very quiet (without their drum) whilst from memory Birmingham and Bristol City were decent vocal wise despite bringing less than 1,500.

Last week we was at Old Trafford, and it didn't surprise me that it took until their fourth goal until we heard a peep from them. Full of tourists and half and half scarfers, their support vocal wise was what I expected. However, when playing you I expected much better from an old school support who's fan base hasn't been diluted by tourists in the way much of the top six have.

I was nevertheless shocked at how poor your support was, for much of the game we heard barely nothing from you. When you scored your second you sung for five minutes and that was it. I notice a few of you have taken the time to come on here and praise your support. If you consider that support to be good yesterday, or even decent, what on earth do you consider to be poor support? Seriously you must have sung a handful of songs tops. Is this what the Premier League has become in our absence, completely sterile from the supporters?
Shouldn’t you be chucking a lighter at someone rather than posting on an Everton forum?

Took over Elland Road, you mean you sold the tickets you were given.
Mate, genuinely welcome back to the big time. It obviously means a lot to the fans and you've added something to the division. On the flip side, as a fan base, you have a tendency to over rate your own importance. I'll be mildly pleased when the wheels come off and you go back to lower division irrelevance, taking your persecution complex, right wing politics and thuggery with you.

I'm assuming you mean Keane not Kean.

We don't have a reserve team. We have an U23 team which is for developing players and occasionally used to give senior players an early run out when returning from long term injury.

With a player like Keane, who we know sometimes has confidence issues, lumping him in the U23s is quite possibly the worst way to deal with his current situation.

Just my opinion for what it's worth
Sorry my mistake in spelling his name Keane. I see your point but dropping him completely isn’t going to be good for his confidence. Nor is parking him on the bench as a sub who might not get a run in a game. I don’t have a solution but if he continues with one cock up per game it’s not going to be pleasant for him or Benitez

I've watched Leeds games where your lot have sang "We are Leeds, We are Leeds, We are Leeds" non-stop, to the point where I've wanted to mute the TV.

I know you are Leeds. I'm usually aware who is playing when I watch a football match. I don't need a constant reminder every 2 minutes in case I've forgot that Leeds play in white.

And...
Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire repeat to fade.

Yeah. Tried and tested. Somebody plays poorly gets dropped to the bench. Then need to show in training until you get another chance which will come when someone else plays poorly or gets injured.

Demotion to the U23s is seen as an insult and there's usually no way back.

It just came into my head that the lad Cooper should have been sent off for the pen he gave away.

It was a clear scoring opportunity and he clearly made no attempt on the ball (it was a grapple/shirt pull not a tackle), so double jeopardy doesn't apply.

That would definitely have changed the game.
That's a good point.
He also should have got another yellow for a foul on DCL on the touchline.
It was 2-1 to us at the time too.

That is right, weak reffing.
