And do you think Tottenham would consider that two points dropped or a point gained?

There's your answer.
Its not my answer. We havent got half the squad Tottenham have. The point is everyones going on as if we should be taking three points there. Why? They were one nil up as well and didnt see it out. Maybe that gives our point there a different slant. With the squad we have and the form we are in a point might not be a bad result.

We have a tiny coaching team. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that, if goal scoring and converting chances is a long standing issue, bringing in a finishing coach might improve our fortunes in that area of the pitch. Dyche doesn't do additional coaches, however.
If it was me I'd be bringing in the best finishing coaches I could afford - it's not like we haven't had the chances. New role for Keane then since we don't have 2 pennies to rub together!!

Good first half curtailed yet again by poor impact from the bench.

Impressed with Mangala, Lindstrøm (finishing aside), and Ndiaye yet again. I think that midfield, probably with Tim rather than Doucoure (who I also thought was bright) is probably our best.

Harrison coming on and Ndiaye coming off really stunted our momentum.

We will be so much better with Myko and Branthwaite in that defence. I have absolutely no worries, please remind me of this in the future when we get relegated and fold.

Because, unless you're getting into the whole 'expected losses' argument where fans can tolerate losing away to Spurs and Villa, then we absolutely need to be taking 4 points from Bournemouth and Brighton at home. We didn't.

This was arguably our best chance of an away win on paper. It's now gone and we need to win at home to a much better Palace team next week, otherwise when are we ever going to win?

These are very winnable games and, if we're not winning them, then we're going to have to turn some of those "expected losses" into points down the road.

Seen loads of moaning at Dyche for making sub this week but didn't last week.

The argument isn't the subs for me, it's changing the game tactically.

Versus Bournemouth, he could and should have went to a 5 at the back once they scored.

Today, he could have shored up the defence or added an extra bit of pace.

It's the like for like subs. EVERY team knows how we play and if you can't read the game and see that you can make the other team rethink their game plan but it's all too easy

No one is talking about expected losses. I am talking about todays game. Where does this idea come from that going there is a walkover? Does going 1-0 up mean a victory should be a guarantee now?

Of course and there is an argument that no Premier League game is a walkover, but in the context of staying in the league, there are only a handful of games that you'd expect (or at least hope) a team like Everton would get 3 points from, and today was one of them.

It was an opportunity to remove many of the doubts about relegation, to land a blow to one of our rivals and, having been 1-0 up for a large part of the game, it was really disappointing to throw it away for the 4th time this season.
