It's not strange at all.

If it's not one of the normal teams winning the league it should be us. In fact I think it's weird that other people don't think this.

Everton shouldn't be needing Leicester or anyone doing something for us to beleive we can do it. That's pathetic. We should just be doing it.

I also despise this notion that Leicester are this poor team. If they were that poor they'd still be in League 1.

You'd prefer the 'normal' teams to win it? What the hell does that mean. I know you mean the likes of Chelsea and United but I still don't get what you mean. The fact that a select bunch of teams win all the time is what is wrong with football. Feeling like it's a negative against Everton that Liecester are miraculously crashing the party up there is a petty way of thinking. I'd excuse it if we where 5th and they where 4th keeping is out of champions league but we are nowhere near that at all. And yes that is something to feel bad about but it can't be but on Liecester at all and to say you prefer the same old to win which as I said before is everything wrong with football is just wrong. I like you ijjysmith and enjoy previews but I disagree with this sentiment.

I happily admit my feelings on this are petty and bitter mate.

Oh alright, like as I said I'd probably feel the same way if we where 5th and in there. I felt that way about spurs when we where on the cusp of it every year with Moyes and then they stormed it that year after so many times we finished 5th ahead of them.

They're pretty poor, tbf.

17th biggest wage bill in the league. Spent less than us in transfers over the last 2 years.

Compared to city and it would be very much the pauper beating the prince.

Like I'm not rooting for them either but it would be one of the biggest blows to the concept of the glass ceiling that you could ever imgaine.

Thats another reason, my whole concept of needing vast investment to win the league would be crushed.

While I'm obviously not comparing their wealth to that of say Man City, that would be mental, they have had significant money into them and have decently wealthy owners.

Sure, which is why you'd fear they'd be able to captilise on a cl run in the way spurs have and we haven't.

But that team still cost half the money to assemble that ours did and is paid 26 million pounds less.

When we make someone look poor, they're quite poor.

But @davek told me they had spent more than us since Martinez took over, are you suggesting this isnt true?
