Leicester City Football Club

But that goes back to my original (loaded) point somewhat. If City were to pick up and claim the title, absolutely nothing would change. We would never, ever come close to winning it.

But if Leicester win, the reverberations will be felt throughout the prem. Clubs like West Ham, Stoke and hopefully us will really believe 'look,, if they can do it, so can we!' I just genuinely believe RM does not instill that belief (not enough belief, anyway).

Absolutely not trying to derail this thread btw and I'm not as down on RM as this post may indicate.

i get ya, but I believe by building the squad to play they way he wants that we will have the belief, because when it comes off you honestly feel we can beat any team in this league. I think us beating them lot at the pit would have more psychological value than Leicester winning or almost winning the league.

Obviously its been said, but Vardy also somewhat makes it hard to want them to win.

Ive always loved Ranieri though.

Nadal has fallen off a cliff since the fiasco hasn't it? Very likely it served as a warning to him to stop blood doping.

Nah I looked at that myself.

Blood samples destroyed 2006, he then wins I think at least three more majors up until 2011.

United are catching them aren't they? Certain as always ain't ye?

They got that fox catching pedigree don't they?

@davek if they do win the league i hope you will change avatar to this :)

Phenomenal effort!

They will start to implode after Arsenal i think....

Remember their Champions League campaign. It was boss. For all the wrong reasons.

Batty and le saux wasnt it?

I agree with you about not wanting them to win and the reasoning being it adds another club above us and gives them extra cash to compete.

However it would be good for some of the players, kante and mahrez were recently nowhere in france and drinkwater punted by united.....vardy the racist though sums up my feelings about them as a club

Read steve walsh is the guy who is bringing in the players, if its the same guy who used to play for them then thats good they kept him on, think hes a one club man.

but my opinion on them was of a dirty team when they were shown on ITV many years ago i think with claridge or some other skank playing for them....used to always hope they would lose on sunday afternoons.

So, horrible club and would be bad for us if they won....but would be amazing for some of the players....life changing.

to be fair here, the tag bitter blues come to mind to anyone moaning about them winning the league.

We should be up there as well, but we aren't. If it was us, we would have everyone saying 'i hope Everton win the league' because it is just that bit more entertaining and gives teams, like us, a platform to move up onto.

A team everyone keeps writing off is still up there and still beating actual teams, not just the worst in the league. Personally, i'm happy for them, i hope they win it, not because it will change anything for me in any way, but just becuase wouldn't it be nice if the team spending 49 and 55 million on players came up second to a team spending 400k on players?

This isn't an Everton fan thing, a lot of clubs fans are having the same discussion. I want them to win it, it would rank as one of the biggest shocks/upsets/surprises (whatever), in the history of sport.

aye it would.

all i mean is, you look at clubs who are never going to get near the title in the next 50 years and if they are bitter then it has no base other than jealousy. the rivals don;t want them to win because they want to be the champions, then there is the likes of us and probably liverpool who you get minorities going 'it should be us up there', despite that, clearly 18 points behind says otherwise.

It's always an Everton thing.

I don't want them to win it because I'm an Everton fan and see it as a bad thing.

I find it weird that you aren't jealous of them to be honest.

I know I am. And I don't see why it's a bad thing to be either.

You don't seem to get it. Yes Leicester deserve to win it. Doesn't mean people have to want them to.
