Pretty sure stadiums don't cost £400k like.

Anyway, money isn't really the point. If Everton need Leicester City to be inspired to do well then we are in deeper trouble than I ever thought.

Football is in trouble and it's everything to do with money. For decades it's just the financialy backed teams that finish in the top four nevermind win it. It's why at start of season the thought of winning the league doesn't enter our Everton heads cause we have a mental block. This Leicester team doing it will break that. What's wrong with being inspired by them, because they're Leicester? Ye have some preconceived notion they don't 'belong' there. A 'normal' team winning it is anti-inspirational.

I want Everton winning it and of course if it's not Everton winning it's negative. But if some team is going to win it why not a team that nearly got relegated last season. It's very inspiring. But you'd sooner have City win it. That is less inspiring.

Why do we need to be inspired at all?! It's a sad day if that's the case.

In fact if Everton need inspiring by something our own history should be more than enough.
**history klaxon**

Leicester are providing inspiration that in a league thoroughly dominated by extremely wealthy clubs, team spirit can overcome. I genuinely believe we (and many other clubs) have got into such a rut that we believe success is 4th spot. Leicester have provided a wake up call that real success is winning the thing, not scraping 4th.

Can you genuinely tell me we have ever thought about a title challenge in the past 20 years? Cos I tell you, after this season, I am now thinking we could do it. And that is thanks to Leicester.

I love Leicester this season, and I'm fully behind them in their title attempt. I don't for one moment think that they're doping. However, there are rumours about drugs in football. The most notable one is the Deportivo La Coruña team of the early 2000s when they won 4-0 against Milan in the Champions League. I don't believe it, but it is possible.

If anyone doesn't believe that messi and ronaldo are doped up to their eyeballs I have a bridge to sell them.

It's rife in football. If we're not doped up at everton, we should be because I bet everyone else.

I would kind of agree except for the fact that getting everybody on the team to dope is kind of difficult. Even in something like cycling it's up to the individual. Watching Man City Leicester, they were really organized and tactically smarter than Man City. In the Everton Leicester City game, I still believe that Everton were the better team that day and were pretty naive to give up two really soft pens.

That's not the impression I got in fairness since the armstrong fallout, there were a huge amount of people complicit

After reading The secret race by Tyler Hamilton who rode with Lance he basically says he felt pressure to take EPO because everybody else on the team was doing it but it was not a team directive rather it was an individual decision.

Secondly in Australia there was the drug scandal in the Aussie rules football there where the players thought they were getting a legal supplement but were not. You can believe what you want on that one whether the players were in it or not. In Football, I still think it's difficult to get buy in from majority of players.

A different time maybe, but there is a story from simon kupers book, 'football against the enemy', the story goes that maradona's world cup winning argentina team were all asked for urine samples after the final, this being before drug testing became more organized and officious, they were just given the cups and asked to fill them, the samples were given back to the officials and tested, turned out two of the players were pregnant
