Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

To be fair, a lot people said the same. The fact remains he was your manager in a miracle season, and it's hard not to feel sad at how quickly things have deteriorated.
I feel like my dog's died reading his statement and watching the Bocelli thing. Really sad but I do still think it had to happen

To be fair, everyone was surprised at the appointment.

Whats the talk there about the new boss?
True.

Every man and his dog has been linked lol

Mancini has apparently ruled himself out which is no big surprise. Could see Shakespeare getting it until the summer and then us making an appointment based on what league we are in. He's held in high regard by the players so thats half the battle apparently. A major overhaul is needed at the end of the season

Thought Jose, and Klopp, who gets a rough ride on here, spoke really well about it. Eddie Jones too.

Be interesting to see who you get in, but it seems the dressing room had become a nest of vipers from afar, anyrate.

Aye. The signings seem to have been dreadful as well. That a combo of Walsh leaving and the owners going a bit bat crazy?

I thinks it indicative of modern football though and the owners are getting a bit of a rough time from it all. Genuinely don't think many clubs nowadays would just accept relegation out of loyalty.

I think whoever we appoint is gonna raise a few eyebrows. Just praying it's not Pardew or Hodgson

To be fair to Woy, he's done well with clubs like Leicester before. Just out of his depth at the RS and England.

Yeah all bar Ndidi don't seem up to scratch. Slimani is OK but always injured and Musa simply isn't a footballer in any way (except against you) lol

Walsh was a massive loss! Are you lot warming to him now?

Would be astonished if a "big" name signed up for it mate. And frankly, dont think a Pellegrino or Anchelotti type would make much difference anyrate.

What I do think though, if them players dont put a shift in against Liverpool on Monday, they should, and will I hope, get absolute pelters from the crowd.

He's just so dreary and I can't imagine him motivating anyone. Good tactician but it's a no from me
After what's happened with Ranieri, I can't see Hodgson working. He needs buy in from the players, which he had at Fulham. I think at Leicester they either need a hard sod who will get stuck into the players, or an existing coach who is everyone's mate so they feel some sort of collective responsibility. The only one who looks to have the stomach for a fight at the moment is Schmeichel.

Wouldnt say "warming" to him. But his early work has been sound. Well, very sound.

Quiet operator, just gets on with his job. Evertonians appreciate that.

And most havnt "warmed" to Koeman. Just most see a competent manager, again, getting on with the job.

I agree. A Pearson type personality is needed. I know he's not a popular bloke to other teams fans but he just fits with us. Don't think that'll happen but someone of his ilk that demands respect and doesn't pander to these 'superstars'

Like I said I think the sensible thing would be to assess it at the end of the season. If we're in the Championship someone like Rowett and if we stay up someone a bit more high profile

I can't get over the fact that they are probably in this situation because they had to deal with the champions league. Ranieri should have fielded kids just to knock that on the head straight from the off.

The players are obviously saving their best for those games at the expense of the league. It will be interesting to see if they start picking up more points once they get knocked out. Although it will be hard to tell now as it could be the new manager bounce.

@FOXINPEACE have you noticed that they aren't putting in the challenges for the 50/50s like last season perhaps scared of getting injured and missing a European game?

Think the owners will not contemplate a relegation. They will do anything to avoid that.

No "assess at the end of the season", they will see it as the owners of the PL Champions. Not the yo yo club you actually are. No offence like, but you get the point.
