Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

I can't get over the fact that they are probably in this situation because they had to deal with the champions league. Ranieri should have fielded kids just to knock that on the head straight from the off.

The players are obviously saving their best for those games at the expense of the league. It will be interesting to see if they start picking up more points once they get knocked out. Although it will be hard to tell now as it could be the new manager bounce.

@FOXINPEACE have you noticed that they aren't putting in the challenges for the 50/50s like last season perhaps scared of getting injured and missing a European game?
The story is that Ranieri chose to abandon the high intensity pressing game and the players voiced their displeasure but he's stuck with it. No excuse for how they've gone about it but it does make sense

Think the owners will not contemplate a relegation. They will do anything to avoid that.

No "assess at the end of the season", they will see it as the owners of the PL Champions. Not the yo yo club you actually are. No offence like, but you get the point.
I know we're famously a yoyo club and that's the biggest disappointment of all of this. It's not that we expect to be top 4 every season now, we simply should've used our position of strength to establish ourselves in this league and we've failed drastically

You didn't have a high intensity pressing game :|

Why on Earth not?
We have an exceptionally proud history that goes far beyond just purely winning silverware.
We are a fantastic, world-renowned club and that's not based purely on one extremely unlikely title win.
English football started 100 years before the money men came along and it will be around for 100 years after the money men have spent up!
I ment that anyone who even suggests that - what he did - must be a muppet.

Think the owners are spot on. People can be as sentimental as they like but the simple fact is that the Premier league provides 20 businesses with a major turnover and subsequently potential profit. The investment in contracts to maintain this position means relegation can lead to further unsustainable losses. May not deliver the required result but the managers position was untenable. A win for us tomorrow would see Moyes in the same position.

Well aint going to put the boot in. But you have last season for the rest of your life. And nothing will take that away. About 91 other clubs supporters would be ok with that.

If you drop, (and I think you will fwiw), then there is no way you will do a Leeds/Portsmouth/Blackburn et al. Suck it up, give a few players a kicking, then move on.

An interesting point I heard today was that when the players stop playing for a manager, e.g. Chelsea last season then the reason the manager gets jibbed is because it's far cheaper and quicker than offloading the bad eggs in the squad.

Seriously, who on earth do those Leicester players think they are?

True. Financially we are sound which in the grand scheme of things is the priority

As I said it's a modern football problem not just Leicester

Professional footballers who thought the boss had lost the plot?

Professional footballers who thought the boss had lost the plot?
Or journeymen nobodies who had the time of their lives under a man who guided the whole thing getting some sort of superiority complex and thinking they are actually good at football?
