Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

Football is a cut throat business, i imagine their board, players and many fans think they have a better chance of staying up with someone else in charge given their horrendous run of form. I think many other clubs would have done the same if in a similar position. It's really bad form in terms of 'morals' but I can understand the decision.

I agree to an extent mate, but there's a 3rd of the season left, don't you think Ranieri earned himself the chance to try and sort it? Unless it's the players who aren't playing for him - in which case makes Ranieri staying useless and everybody slating them right.

Get cold feet and sack him, or scumbag two-faced senior players, either way it's wrong what they did.

He has but at the same time there is huge sums of money at risk, people make whatever choice they think will benefit them best as a business. If you start mixing in sentiment you end up with Bill Kenwright.

Absolutely see what you mean, it doesnt make it any less harsh on Ranieri.

Like I said if it's the players who have turned on him as reported they absolutely deserve to go down.

Fluked it first season deserved to go, all the managers that are not happy with it, offering there support, fine then stop taking the jobs as soon as one comes up.
Hope he's Newcastle next boss .

anyone think the timing is only because they might be able to get a bit better class of manager because they are still in the CL?

Why on Earth not?
We have an exceptionally proud history that goes far beyond just purely winning silverware.
We are a fantastic, world-renowned club and that's not based purely on one extremely unlikely title win.
English football started 100 years before the money men came along and it will be around for 100 years after the money men have spent up!

Money men didn't only appear in '92. If you had any knowledge of your history you'd know that.

They lost their most important player, and we took their most important member of staff - they were never going to do well. Sad to see Ranieri gone though, would absolutely love Leicester to go down
Add that to the point that two of their more vital players last season in Vardy and Mahrez have in the mainstay been absolutely woeful this season.

The player power accusations are going to be very off putting for any potential manager and if true quite rightly so.
Just seen the reaction of our bench when Vardy got the goal against Seville i.e there was no reaction ... very telling.
It looks in the end Ranieri was completely isolated with very little communication with his assistants, sacking a lot of the backroom staff ,bizarre team selections and substitutions etc etc

Who cares really? He's got a league winner's medal and a massive pay off. He won't have a relegation on his CV and he's a got a massive amount of sympathy. He's landed on his feet here. Leicester have reverted to type this season. Before that (very suspicious) league win last year, they were relegation fodder and now they've returned to that level.
