Lineker just being a bit hypocritical gets my goat ... when Ranieri was appointed he was one of the first pundits to voice his displeasure ... the word underwhelming was his headline comment .. now that he has been sacked he is balling his eyes out.
In terms of new manager think Shakespeare will probably get the gig to the end of the season ... probably won't save us from relegation but neither would have Ranieri
Have heard Kasper Schmeichel asked a few times now if he or other Leicester players have had discussions with the owners about getting Ranieri the sack..... Each time he's said the players have no influence on decisions made by the owners......the question was simple, and he's dodging it..... So clear to me, Schmeichel and others have got Ranieri the sack.... and that's appalling from them...
It's unsavoury and it's what costs most managers their jobs in the end, if they've gone to the board at least it's in-house, is that better or worse than going through the media for example.
Not doubting he is a lovely guy but did not realise that we had shot Bambi and the Queen at the same time. Just a reminder of Claudio's recent managerial record :
Chelsea ... sacked 2004
Valencia ... sacked 2005
Parma ... sacked 2007
Juventus ... sacked 2009
Roma ... resigned 2011 after a dreadful run of results
Inter Milan ... sacked 2012
Greece ... sacked 2014
Us ... sacked 2017
Mancini, Pellegrini, Mourinho all suffered a similar fate after winning the title and I don't recall the same level of outrage
