Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

Mancini, Pellegrini, Mourinho all suffered a similar fate after winning the title and I don't recall the same level of outrage

Lineker just being a bit hypocritical gets my goat ... when Ranieri was appointed he was one of the first pundits to voice his displeasure ... the word underwhelming was his headline comment .. now that he has been sacked he is balling his eyes out.

In terms of new manager think Shakespeare will probably get the gig to the end of the season ... probably won't save us from relegation but neither would have Ranieri

Wonder how his missus feels about that....

Have heard Kasper Schmeichel asked a few times now if he or other Leicester players have had discussions with the owners about getting Ranieri the sack..... Each time he's said the players have no influence on decisions made by the owners......the question was simple, and he's dodging it..... So clear to me, Schmeichel and others have got Ranieri the sack.... and that's appalling from them...

It's unsavoury and it's what costs most managers their jobs in the end, if they've gone to the board at least it's in-house, is that better or worse than going through the media for example.

If he hadn't of won the league last season he maybe wouldn't have been sacked now, I think he raised expectations of fans and the board. Leicester are usually at the wrong end of the table when they've been in the Prem and they've just reverted to type after a freak season when none of the bigger clubs performed well .

Not doubting he is a lovely guy but did not realise that we had shot Bambi and the Queen at the same time. Just a reminder of Claudio's recent managerial record :
Chelsea ... sacked 2004
Valencia ... sacked 2005
Parma ... sacked 2007
Juventus ... sacked 2009
Roma ... resigned 2011 after a dreadful run of results
Inter Milan ... sacked 2012
Greece ... sacked 2014
Us ... sacked 2017

Don't think there's much of a difference..... These players have Ranieri to thank for their Premier league medal and their current bank balance...... To have forgotten all this is astonishing.....and they don't even have the balls to admit publicly what they've done..

Bar Parma every one of those clubs were expected to challenge for their league title and qualify for the champions league,
Greece were expected to comfortably qualify for international tournaments,
Every year your expectations are to stay up/ push for mistake, he was pretty much on target for that

Mate you're an absolutely nothing no mark club and he won you the title. Stop acting like yous are Real Madrid

Yeah but they're all sky darling shights, so it didn't fit with the official version of the darlings being 'in' and 'special' and 'better' and stuff.

not sure where Klippity fits in there though.
