I realise baines would like to go to SA but personally I think it would not be a bad thing if he did not.

He absolutely should go, especially at his age. Experience like that is priceless for himself and the club. Injuries will forever be a part of the game but you don't deny someone the opportunity to play for their country because of them. I'd be truly made up for LB if he got to go as I suggested buying him on my old mailing list about a year and a half before we actually did. He's done very well for himself and the club and it's just icing on the cake that he's a local lad.

Its weird reading some of the posts in this thread, 2010 less then 2 years ago, you forget he really only became huge for us after Lescott left.

Yes sir there most certainly is, I'm not sure if I would have joined early enough to comment, but I thought he'd be back to Wigan after his first season!
