Just another example of injury forcing Moyes into changes which benefit the team rather than making them off his own back.

Thats just silly and you know it, its like you have re-written history.
In his first Season he struggled for form due to a long list of Hamstring injuries, also Jags and Yobo where playing very well and Lescott was like the Brummie Cafu on the left.
He got his chance and he took it, but to say Moyes wasnt EVER gonna play him after spunking 6m on his is beyond silly mate.
I know you hate Moyes, I get that, honestly everybody who hates Moyes I can see the reasons, but "you" have enough REAL stuff to beat him with, lets not just beat him for the sake of beating.
Depends who the left back would be, no point having good attacking players if Neville or Distin play left back all season
he did it so he had an excuse to keepstubbs in the team, as many favourites as possible
Some club (I can't remember who) who we made an enquiry with for a player said about moyes 'tell him he can have the player for £x plus Baines' and when it was relayed to moyes he didn't rejected the offer out of hand. At that stage moyes had real concerns that he'd made a mistake with Baines & was particularly concerned over his height (as I remember ) . Obviously and thank god nothing came of it but it's worth remembering

Yes mate, bizarre as it sounds that's 100% genuine . When I used to post I'd post rumours but occasionally I'd be able to post a direct quote from someone present in the conversation and that is one of those quotes. I'm not looking to derail a topic merely add to the debate
