He's just not a centre/defensive midfielder, is he? Put him in the hole just behind and he'll have a good game 7 or 8 times out of 10. Put him in the McCarthy/Barry role and he struggles.

Unfortunately for him it's obvious Barkley's the man and you can't ignore Naismith's form, so his use should be very limited IMO. He's a great player to bring on with 20 minutes left to try and slide a pass in, as he reads the game and plays through balls better than both of the aforementioned. You'll often see him come on and play a pass that's been on all game which no other player has spotted.

But, we have to play these teams even more so than the top teams.

Ossy is well capable of playing these games, half the teams in the prem would love a player like Osman.
 
Its true other players lost possession too but its how and where Ossie loses it that is the difference. He just lets players push him out of the way and take the ball without any resistance and seems to regularly be unaware of who is behind him. At times yesterday he looked completely out of place at this level, I felt bad for him.

I love him but I just don't want to see him in our half ever again. Final third in the final part of the game he has something to offer that most of the rest dont but its getting a bit embarrasing watching him lose possession like a 5yo playing with his older brothers.

Having said all that people are getting WAY ahead of themselves expecting Bobby to have every weak point of our squad completely sorted in just over a year. We dont have that kind of money, and I'm kind of glad we don't have to see the kind of splurges on multitudes of mediocrity that a couple of our rivals make.

He would struggle to get in most teams in the prem now.
He has been a great player for us but he is done mate,watch him closely he is so slow and his reactions are even slower.
Did you see the way hutton trotted past him against villa,it was like a boy trying to tackle a man.
I do not like dissing him but time has caught up with him.

Our leader does not agree.

He would get into most teams, with ease.
 

I've always supported Ossie in the past but I think 40-60 minutes is plenty for him now a days.I thought he
struggled yesterday although to be fair he's never been a winger.
