His mind isn't as sharp as it once was, and he is a complete defensive liability to the point that opposition teams heavily target him.

But, as he showed at OT, bring him on with 20 to go and he can help tick us over. He's not finished as a footballer, he just needs a lesser, more specific role.

I love him to bits as he's Everton through and through but I just wish we could keep him as a super sub in the last 20 minutes or so. He's great at doing that but he brings nothing else for me. The thing is we don't have the squad size to do that and we'll need to start him from time to time. Barkley could have started yesterday but there was no way he's going to play 3 times in a week after just coming back from a bad injury. Maybe next season we'll fill the squad up a bit more and we'll be able to do that or we'll see Besic come into the side more.

Barry and McCarthy played really well and made a difference.
Osman just makes the numbers up now.
He looks out of it now after an hour and I don't want to see him struggling like that.
