Ok, don't hate me for this - I like Leon Osman.

He had the opportunity to run me over in his Audi once, and didn't. After we beat Chelsea Feb '12. Pienaar and Straq.

Anyway, I have a soft spot for Leon, and not because he spared my life. Mainly because he's been a loyal servant to the club. No, he's never been the world's best player and yes, he's lost his once amazing first touch. However he has done a job for us over previous years.

It galls me to see abuse he gets sometimes. I know he's frustrating and I agree he probably shouldn't be starting games but he doesn't deserve the abuse he gets from some quarters.

Let up on the guy.

Hear hear . Lovely little bit of skill and cross that Naisy headed onto the bar .

Drifted into the centre far too much today, being played out of position on the left, but he needs to stay there and stop drifting. Bainesy has nobody to give it down the line.

He was never the quickest lad going but his pace has definitely gone, has really had an impact when used as a substitute recently, think he is best suited to that role these days.

Needs taking out to the middle of a field and putting down.

He has 89 minutes of bad and 1 minute of good. 79 to 1 or however many minutes he plays for (you get the idea)

Yet some of you will support he guy based on that 1 minute. clutching at the smallest things to stick up for little Ossie.

I have posted many times in this thread with my utter dismay at his performances but every time I feel the need to rant again about him. He infuriates me more so than any other player.

He asks for the ball. Then spends far too long with it and gets eased aside. Then doesn't even bother chasing back (or is unable)

So many bad moments today I wouldn't know where to start.

and that's about it folks
That's not the whole post and you known it, however, no, he isn't good enough. I'm not saying he is.

It's the abuse he gets which does my head in. Some treat him like he's Nick Barmby and he doesn't deserve that.

He's not up to the job, but he doesn't deserve the stick he gets. He's been a servant to us and we should respect that.

Well he needs to retire before he leaves sour memories of himself. More and more fans are turning on him and rightfully so based on performances for a long while now.

Gave us his entire career, Legend
