It's not that Osman is a "whipping boy" it's just the fact that he shouldn't be starting games for us anymore, especially out of position. He has been a decent player over the years nothing more. Time to give other players a chance.

Who should have started yesterday instead of him?

And he's always been a whipping boy regardless of his form or position in the team.

As someone has said Pienaar, McGeady or Barkley. Besic could have done what Osman did yesterday.

Ive always liked Osman, but my point is his is totally ineffective now, and shouldn't be starting games.

Besic now as our creative outlet? The only role the lad has been assigned since he joined is goalkeeper.

Pienaar isn't capable of playing two games in 3 days now, and McGeady was last weeks whipping boy and clearly can't keep possession like Osman does that makes us retain the ball.

Also making Barkley play 3 games in 8 days is ridiculous after such a long layoff from a nasty injury.

McGeady's a decent player who had a poor game on Thursday. I think he could have started. If it really had come down to it I would have just sent 10 men out there.

Away from home after a difficult and tiring european game 3 days previously clearly the tactic was to dominate possession as much as possible and tire the opposition out, Osman is far better at doing that than McGeady.

The comment about sending out 10 men is quite infantile.

With regret, Pienaar, Osman and McGeady are not the type of players you need in a squad supposedly pushing for top 4, in my opinion. They're there because we can't afford to replace them as yet.

That's no reflection on their commitment to the club or their effort. They just aint good enough.

Creative outlet? Was that Osman's role yesterday? I must have watched a different game then because I honestly thought he did nothing in the game. We obviously disagree on him, but for me her is well past starting games and having any influence on the game.

So you missed his integral pass in the lovely move for the 1st goal?

I long for the day we can give him the moniker he truly deserves.
