With Mirallas out, Pienaar not fit, and McGeady still tired, our wide options look pretty bad. A move for Perisic, or a player of his quality out wide seems inevitable in January or summer. Until then, Osman has a role in this squad. Mainly as an impact sub, but occasionally as a starter, and that's okay against weaker opposition, because he can be hauled off when he becomes ineffective, around the 60 minute mark. However, I do agree, that in Jan we should try and move on now.

Totally agree. The problem is though our wide players aren't doing enough to justify a starting role.osman and naismith are giving us more out of position at the moment than mcgeady atsu and pienaar have shown so far this season

Aye I was probably a bit harsh, but he's literally done sweet F.A. - McGeady at least has assists and tries, you know? Attacks now stop at Leon Osman 99% of the time.

As others have said osman is at his best coming off the bench where hes still affective.you say mcgeady has assists to his name.i honestly can't remember any tho I could be wrong.

Fairly sure he has at least two, or has played the crucial pass in the move; Davek pulled up the stats a few days ago and it turns out McGeady's actually probably our most productive player.

His goal at leicester was quality but I can't remember an assist. I'd love him to prove me wrong cos he's got ability. I find pienaars current form even more alarming to be honest
