I just think we need much better than him in the creative roles.

And yes I do think Barkley will be that person. Eventually.

I reckon we've seen most of what we can expect from Barkley in the future already, and on days when he wants the ball he is some player! I'm just not so sure creativity and vision can be trained and I wouldn't say these are his natural skills.

Intereting take on it.

I think he'll learn a lot from this season.

We'll see I certainly hope he does learn to pick that pass.

He's single handedly stopped us from being relegated this season.

We really need to get a decent creative midfielder in the summer. If Osman with his physical limitations can bring a lot to the table, imagine what a player who can't be brushed off the ball by a mild breeze could do.

Well I'll miss Osman when he finally hangs up the boots. Always had quick feet and he just sticks out in my memory as one of those steady players who makes a difference when we invariably struggle against rubbish teams.

Also judging by the behind the scenes vids over the years I suspect he is a big contributer to when new players always say "I've been welcomed and made to feel at home from the minute I walked in the door"

I bet that Messi is gutted that he's not Osman, like.
The guy's been a great servant to the club, he has his faults but he see's a pass better than most and finds space better than most of our side also. to say his career has been gash just shows your agenda and how little you understand football, luckily the 40,000 at goodison a few weeks ago who roared him onto the pitch after his comeback from injury seem to know a little bit more about our players than you.

Great servant getting paid 40k a week.
