IMO he's not even good enough for that standard any more. He's declined so dramatically in the last 6/12 months it's quite unreal. He can no longer last 90 minutes without looking completely shagged at the end, he seems to have lost all form of strength and so is constantly being pushed to the floor/underweighting his passes to the opposition, and he no longer gets in any decent offensive positions. He'd be decent as a floating number 10, with no defensive responsibilities whatsoever, and surrounded by world class players. Apart from that he's a complete and utter waste of space.

I'm sick and tired of his moaning face. Shame about the injury but it seems that was gonna be the only way to get him out of the side, so as long as he eventually makes a full recovery, I'm made up.

He's not playing great at the moment, but some of the stuff in this thread is rubbish boo boy stuff. He can be given a 4/10 and criticised for giving the ball away a few times and yet other players can be literally invisible for 70 minutes before being subbed, and yet they'll get a 5 as they 'always seem like they might do something'. Silly stuff.

a few times? are you kidding, every game this season he's passed it away like its a grenade, we cant have the most dribbled past CM in our engine room and hope to compete, he's a liability, get rid, tara Ossie, thanks for your skem banter in the dressing room, enjoy being a multi millionaire for something you arent that good at

Ossie has had a good run and made the England side without ever setting the world on fire, quietly consistently inconsistent and really surmising that now.
He hasn't got the legs to play in a more uptempo game as Jags saw yesterday he was left behind by Jarvis once or twice.

I think the majority of us know that Osman is not good enough for the team and have had enough of his weak play.
He has the strength and shooting power of a 10 year old, that is not an exaggeration.
One of his so called better traits was supposedly his technical ability but even that has been shown up recently as lacking.
Nevermind the first half on Saturday, in the second half alone before he was subbed he got dispossessed easily or passed directly to the opposition. Another thing was he was afraid to turn forwards with the ball, turned backwards immediately scared, passing the ball off to Jags or Distin!
After about the 5th time losing the ball in the second half, his head dropped and he stood still, almost like he realised he was out of his depth and having a shocking game. Conveniently, 2 minutes later he holds his leg and wants to be subbed...

I longed for the days of no more Hibbert, Osman and Phil Neville, or the Triangle of Doom as I liked to refer to them as.
One is gone for good, the other is at best an emergency backup whose likely to be released at the end of the season, and finally - thankfully - the other has eventually been shown up as being a complete fraud whose stolen a multimillionaire lifestyle on the back of about two good performances per season.
Don't get me wrong, he seems sound and from all accounts (one of my relatives is good mates with his dad) is a top guy, but there's no room for sentiment in football in this day and age, and he needs to go. He'd be a good option for a newly-promoted team perhaps start of next season as a wise head, albeit not a first team regular. QPR might be a good destination for him, his pal Clint Hill can help him settle.
