for people who say Osman brings nothing to the team.. go to the official site and watch the 20 minute highlights of the Arsenal game. Skip to 13:55 and watch Osman only. He receives and plays the ball FIVE different times in a spell of possession lasting half a minute. The last time he touches the ball results in a perfectly weighted through ball to Mirallas. He works so well off the ball and is excellent in tight areas. I honestly watched that 30 seconds clip of the game a half dozen times. Just a brilliant, brilliant exchange of play from Everton and Osman is the main catalyst.

It was an excellent moment of clarity....which he is defo capable of. I think most of us are more concerned about his lack of pace and his strength of warm linguine.

Noone questions his ability, the problem is where do you play him, last year he was the second most dribble past player in the league, hes painfully slow and weak so hes crap in center mid against most teams. So hes an attacking mid, but who would you prefer Barkley or Osman behind Lukaku. He still has a part to play, just as an impact sub

Pretty much sums it up.

Apart from the completely biased Osman hating few most Evertonians with a footballing brain realises Osman has a part to play and is very good at the things he's strong at doing. He's almost the perfect impact sub.

300th League Appearance for Everton.

Class goal, right out of the top drawer, and an assist to boot.

He'll never let you down, little Leon.

As I said before in the Barkley thread, we looked better once Barkley swapped positions with Ossie in the 2nd half.

But I think that's more credit to Ross rather than a jab at Osman. Anyway, Ossie's picked up recently. Will surely be benched for the next game, and to be fair to him, he's done well off the bench this season.

In games against lesser teams, Osman really can come out of his shell and be really effective. Today, i felt this was the case. It's a shame he doesn't really have that 'extra' level against the big teams.

But he's been good this year, and good to see him not fading out just yet. I think Martinez is using him brilliantly. Unlucky not to have a brace today.

This picture is mindf*cking me.

It looks as though the keeper is further away from the camera than Osman yet his hair is in front of Osman's hand.

Tripping balls here.
