Apparently going to sign a 1 year extension on his contract to 2016.
I'm on the one with the green lid, lids.

I'm fed up of how sentimental we are as a club which has allowed [Poor language removed] like Osman, Hibbert and Neville to stay far longer than what they ever should have.

We are like a pension home. If they ain't good enough just release them and use the resources to bring other players in.

I believe it was Cahill that went to Moyes and said he felt he wasn't up to his previous standards and fancied a change of pace.

Osman has been off the pace for years. (He was only ever 'on it' in flashes but that's hardly the point.

I will kick the cat if I ever have to see that [Poor language removed] little shimmy he does when facing a defender, it invariably ends up with the defender waltzing off with the ball laughing.

This is the worst kind of decision-making that is why the English team has looked so crap for so long. Your answer is basically fill the team with grocks and withstand your way through the game. Osman made one error and that was getting caught on the ball for the 3rd goal, but he had been really good up until then. Some of his passes were lovely, with the kind of subtle craft that eludes most of our squad. The ball to Atsu, then the assist to Lukaku, and generally he kept possession really well.
For all Lukaku's strength, Osman is better and keeping hold of it in tight areas.

I don´t think much of the ´fans´giving constant dogs abuse to one of our players, but I think you are totally out on both points you are making. Ossie made one important pass and at times kept possession, but he lost it far too much also. More regularly than other players in that game. If he wasn´t losing the possession he was forced to do very little with it because his reactions and touches were so slow and poor that he had to get rid backwards on the point of losing the ball, when originally the ball had been passed to him with sufficient space to no mess up.

Nowadays the only time Ossie looks decent is when he can do something first touch, or with a bit of space in the final third, or arriving late into the box. Although he normally finishes poorly when he does.

Love Ossie, but I will be amazed if he comes back into any vein of form for us again before he leaves us or retires.

Lukaku on the other hand actually did okay. He has quite clearly improved on holding up possession and was far better than wee Ossie in this respect yesterday.

I don't mind him starting a game against weaker opposition but he needs to be off on the hour mark. He simply can't last 90 minutes anymore and had he been taken off at 60 I reckon we'd have gone on to win.

Osman is fine when he is surrounded by 9 or 10 first team regulars to slot in to the team. It's in games like yesterday where he isn't going to shine because we rely on him more to be creative. He's far more effective with the likes of Barkley, Pienaar and Mirallas in the team.
