The goal will no doubt overshadow his truly awful performance. I paid £18 to watch him chase shadows, get muscled off the ball and overhit several passes for 120mins. He's finished.
His finish was funny, it was so quintessentially Osman. God bless him and his cotton wool feet

It seems to me that some players when getting to the end of their careers suddenly become hate figures for some.
Osman and others don't pick themselves the manager does. I don't understand the hate for a player(s) who has been a good servant.

Ha ha even a half fit 33 year old Osman has more midfield nous than some of the other players on display. I mean honestly the finishing was woeful in that game and if Osman hadn't of found the corner what would have happened? We still miss Osman's goal scoring contribution from midfield. When him and Cahill were coming up with 7 or 8 a season it made such a difference. Now you look through the line up and we're reliant on Lukaku and Barkley solely. Barry, McCarthy, Cleverley, Lennon, Deulofeu do not have many goals between them at all.

he can still do 10 min cameo's off the bench in tight games. but players like cleverley, kone, gibson, one of the wingers and naismith are all better options. he's just there in case of a massive injury crisis really.

Yeah I love Del, he just can't finish though (from what he's showed so far). We used to have a few really good finishers in midfield Osman Cahill Fellaini even Arteta. Now though Barkley aside none of them look like threatening the goal at all. Osman provided the slightest bit of movement and a good finish and we're back in the match. Too many games you see Lukaku just in the box by himself.
Ferguson said you need 100 goals in the team to win a title. We'd be lucky to get to half that figure. Lukaku around 20 in the league, Ross around 10 maybe. Mirallas and Naismith maybe about 6 (although Mirallas looks unlikely this season). We're then looking for big contributions from the likes of Baines and Coleman. We should be expecting more from midfield. Osman used to provide that. Absolutely no point knocking someone who was once a good player and saved our skin last night. Osman in his prime would walk into this side.
cameo player nothing more nothing less. Got to be the slowest player in the league. People saying he saved our skin!!! have you ever thought that just maybe he was partly responsible for a poor team performance and if maybe he wasn't there we could have been cruising....all ifs and buts but just because he scored doesn't mean he was a saviour.
