he nearly had Baines on the treatment table again! had enough of Osman time for him to catch the Pierhead bus.

because there is no comparison to be made, osman gives the ball away just as muck as kev, but is far less dangerous with the ball, what talents he has and they are few, are hideously overrated, his work rate is poor, he is cowardly in the tackle, he can't beat a man, his link up play isn't what people say, he never plays around corners, always straight back to his man or a dive, the amount of times baines got the ball and there was no one in front of him to link up with, osman should be in the ressies till he pisses offI'm not so much an Osman 'fan', just saying it how I see it. I like Mirallas, he's dangerous and has a good scoring record. But he can he can be awful at keeping possession.
Coming from someone who lauds Barkley so much I'm surprised at your blind and sustained criticism of Osman.
What did he do wrong, besides a few misplaced passes?
Osman is still one of the few players we've got in our team who can receive the ball on tight spaces in the attacking areas and move it on well. Cleverley is good at this (hence why he sometimes plays on the left) and Pienaar was a master of it. Barkley and Besic can both be very good, but they're inexperienced and inconsistent. You need old heads amongst young players.
The opposite of Osman is someone like Mirallas, who is often poor in possession and has limitations in his link up play.

He's hardly featured this season so he's clearly being phased out of the team. He came on last night to fill a void and he did well. I'd never advocate him starting a game now unless it's against inferior opposition. I don't buy that he gives the ball away, some stats would be handy.because there is no comparison to be made, osman gives the ball away just as muck as kev, but is far less dangerous with the ball, what talents he has and they are few, are hideously overrated, his work rate is poor, he is cowardly in the tackle, he can't beat a man, his link up play isn't what people say, he never plays around corners, always straight back to his man or a dive, the amount of times baines got the ball and there was no one in front of him to link up with, osman should be in the ressies till he pisses off
When Martinez brought Osman on ahead of Mirallas and Lennon it - was not good for my blood pressure - to put it mildly.
Only Phil Neville has surpassed Osman in being off the pace and out of sorts in any recent Everton side -
i would even take Naismith ahead of him -
Martinez got away with one there -
How do you think Mirallas must have felt when Osman got the nod ahead of him ?
Martinez continues his public humiliation of Mirallas by playing inferior players ahead of him in his preferred position (my opinion)
i think Mirallas has received enough punishment(benching and late subs) for whatever he did - Martinez must now start treating him at face value or sell him immediately

I really don't understand all the hate.
But no, a bunch of Internet lads know better than a Premier League football manager earning millions of pounds a year.
That's to all of you that have quoted me by the way. I'm going back to work because I've got an important job.

@Whistlin' Dixie the way you're sitting on this thread angrily disagreeing with everyone who think Ossie had a decent game last night. I dunno, it seems to me that maybe you might have an agenda.
Give it up - save it for when he has a poor game.
And yes yes I know
"Oh you call that a decent game? Oh how our standards have slipped that that's a decent game"
Shut up you bore
