Who says I'm angry? I'm not the one hurling the personal insults to those I disagree with :coffee:

You say I am, but I can assure you that I'm positively zen, lad.

I don't need to dream up superlatives for some no mark, because I know what I seen. And it was a million miles away from the 'fine' game that you, and the rest of the sentimental apologists who just can't let go, think he had.

As I've already said - if that game he had last night passes for fine, then the bar's been st extremely low. I don't how what he has to do to have had a 'poor' game.

Maybe if he got involved a bit more, so when he was under the spotlight you'd see what the rest of us see.

By your high standards then, did Cleverley have a poor game in the first half?

Did no worse than osman did in the 2nd. And had he continued, anyone what said Cleverly had a good game would've been pulled up on it, too.

Got ya.
I think that what you believe is holding impressively high standards is actually in truth just you being a little bit silly.

Perhaps it's for the sake of conversation, maybe to seem a bit different, maybe it's just how you choose to support Everton – but his performance last night contributed to us beating Manchester City after a terrible run of form. He didn't score or assist, but his performance was disciplined, composed and kept us on top.

Of course there are better players than Osman within our squad, and outside EFC willing to move to the club – and after this season when his contract runs out that latter group should certainly be looked at – but I think that your suggestion that last night's performance is evidence of him being poor is badly misplaced, especially when he has certainly supplied us with actual evidence plenty times over the last 2 seasons.

When Martinez brought Osman on ahead of Mirallas and Lennon it - was not good for my blood pressure - to put it mildly.
Only Phil Neville has surpassed Osman in being off the pace and out of sorts in any recent Everton side -
i would even take Naismith ahead of him -
Martinez got away with one there -
How do you think Mirallas must have felt when Osman got the nod ahead of him ?
Martinez continues his public humiliation of Mirallas by playing inferior players ahead of him in his preferred position (my opinion)
i think Mirallas has received enough punishment(benching and late subs) for whatever he did - Martinez must now start treating him at face value or sell him immediately

Its Mirallas own fault, when he gets a chance he doesn't do anything, Besic got a chance the other night, played well, got a start, played fantastic, and i reckon will be in the team again at City in the league next week. Mirallas on the other hand gets chance after chance but doesn't impress. If he don't like the bench he needs to do something about it.

Osman, aside from one pass to Baines, did very well last night and should start in the FA cup. I think Kev will do so as well.

Got ya.

No - you haven't 'got me' at all.

I said Cleverly didn't have a good half, but did no worse than osman. How does that equate to osman having a good game?

You asked the question - I answered - You don't say anything to disagree with the answer I gave, but instead think up some theory about why I'm writing critically of osman; and I'm being a 'little bit silly'?

Ok mate. :coffee:

Wasnt happy when he came on and can't see how he even justifys a place on the bench these days but apart from one under hit pass thought he played well last night
