My opinion?

We never, ever had £8.5m to pay upfront.

Instead, it was likely to be approx £3m and instalments.

Twente haven't appreciated this, and want more upfront to fund other transfers.

(Also, unorthodox approach by the Club to announce the deal so prematurely was a tad odd?)

It,s a sickner but it makes sense.

Some cringeworthy garbage being posted by agenda driven people in here.

We agreed a fee for the player PENDING a medical and personal terms. It would seem that the medical has uncovered an issue which although it won't prevent him playing as it stands, could be an issue in the long term.

Why people are jumping on Everton for looking out for themselves is beyond me. Would you rather we just stuck with the £8.5m and were forced to pay it even if he was struck down with some injury down the line ? Of course, that would fit the agenda of some, because then they could have a pop at Kenwright for buying him in the first place.

Everton are just being sensible and trying to get the best deal to cover the club financially, and given the amount of moaning people on here do about us not having any that seems rather sensible, if you get off Twitter and think about it for a second.

Think it stinks that so many are whining about us not just signing a player who the vast majority of us had never even heard of prior to yesterday afternoon. Get a grip.

Just occurred to me.....there's a cryptic clue in the anagram of his name regarding Evertons view after the medical:

Free...ORLY

...and being 24 hours away from the window closing to find all this out and have no one in through the doors after 30 days of January...what do you have to say about that?

Their new owners loan out their £35m striker and bring no replacement in and wouldn't even stump up cash for Dempsey who their new manager apparently wanted. They don't take any BS though? You give them far too much credit

they certainly dont clap and defend Henry all you here on the radio phone ins is "yanks need to give us more money or go"

just think what they would be like having Kenwright at the helm! same goes for Spurs, barcodes, Villa are furious at lerner etc. we just accept the same old year after year without complaint thats what winds me up.
