Leroy Fer

I can see their frustration to be fair, they have another player lined up? Who they probably need the initial payment we agreed tio pay for. If they cant get their new player then why sell Fer and leave them weakened and no replacement.
Everton should give them the initial payment then structure the rest differently. Can't see it not being done today, he wants to join the club, we are in the driving seat.

gunna go ahead and say theres little to no chance he failed his medical, he played a full game only two days ago.

From what I can tell from more official type sources, he didn't fail his medical. Was more an underlying problem with his knee, and more precisely parts of his knee being dodge.
That's why we didn't want to pay all up front, just in case it messes up.

I don't think the fact that he played two days ago is relevant. The medical is not about whether he could play tonight but about what his overall medical condition is. If he has a susceptibility to a particular problem or a weakness in a particular area that may not be causing him an issue right now.

The last thing we need is an expensive new signing who just takes up space in the treatment room along with Mirallas and Gibson.

Yeah, I can see us trying to take advantage of any 'problems' with his knee though even if it is very slight, Which would end up with us ****ing up the deal.

A thread like this to me says all that's crap about our internet and 24 hour news society.

The player missed two months of the season following a knee injury. The medics have picked up a potential underlying problem.

The club are trying to protect themselves to ensure we don't waste what little cash we have. £10m is a lot for us.

It's the middle of the negotiations. Imagine if it was a house you were looking at and the survey showed up a potential problem. You'd have a go at chipping the terms of the deal. Especially when you couldn't afford to take a major risk with the house.

If Everton bought him and a month later his knee went pop then half on here would be calling for Bill's blood even more than usual.

Sometimes, just sometimes, can we not just take a step back and see what happens?

On one hand it could be seen as us messing up the deal, or on the other hand it's us being not stupid and gambling on a historic injury that COULD flair up in his first game and we've lost a load of money that is precious to us.

Make your own mind up.

This is what has been taking place, we tried it with Lescott and it worked, but it looks like it is placing this deal in jeopardy.

Paying in installments isn't related to his knee, we are just skint, and many of our deals our paid in installments.
