Leroy Fer

We don't have £8.6m though do we?

It was always a much smaller down payment and then add ons.

Now we just want to change those add ons.

I think.

To be honest I can't be arsed with same old from Everton.

May be they are right in this instance. Maybe he has got an injury and we should renegotiate better payment terms but I can't help thinking it's us acting like c***s in the transfer market again.

It's always the same, Everton come in, agree a deal and find a problem. Deal either falls through or we get a slightly better deal. It's virtually every deal we do now.

Maybe we want to renegotiate more appearance related payments but I just can't understand why we are trying to get him for less and I could fully understand the selling club walking away. It just stinks again and reiterates what Sheedy says about us being well known as amateurish in the transfer market.

We may save a 100k or so in this instance but further down the line I reckon there will come a point were clubs will look elsewhere before dealing with us and there's certainly been instances were our messing around had cost, like the proposed sale of Heitinga or Yobo, where deals are alleged to have collapsed because of the goal posts being moved at the last minute.

I dream a dream of Leroy Fer,
I dream of horses within flats,
I dream of Twente dealing fair,
I dream a dream of knees of glass.

I doubt his knees were really all that disgraceful, but we've seen it as a half chance to weasel the deal to something a few pounds cheaper.

Twente have told us to do one, so we'll just pay up and the whole thing will be forgotten.

Announcing it on your official site and then having it fall through makes us look like utter bellends, and rightly so. And with us, it happens time and time again. We never learn. This sort of sh1t is good in a West End play, but not for a professionally run football club, but Bill runs them the same way.

Sadly this is true.

I can't remember if it did say subject to terms and medical or not. It's like someone who updates the site got too excited and shot his load too early. All over the Everton website.

If this doesn't happen, it's gutting, we need a dynamic midfield player like this, who else is left within realistic boundaries? M'Vila gone to Rubin Kazan, Toulouse not willing to sell Capoue until the summer, maybe we'll be left scraping the barrel with a loan deal for Lassana Diarra from Real Madrid or Even Odjidja interest may be resurrected. Mohamed Diame and his release clause is another option like. Just really hoping Fer is signed up though.

The OS only ever said a fee had been agreed, not that he'd signed.

A fee had been agreed until the results of the medical. Wind it in and stop looking for sticks to beat the club with.
