Don't, just don't.

Word from Amsterdam this morning seems to be zero chance Twente will budge. Arsenal, QPR and others rumoured as alternatives but nothing solid. Been told this morning that sense at EFC end is that Twente won't budge. Not dead yet but on life support.

I don't think I could stomach him joining one of those sides and going on to become a top player for them, whilst we progress with Neville in midfield for another year or two.

This really if we do get him his leg will exsplode of him and hit a disabled kid on his first game and be crocked for the rest of his career. If we don't somebody else will get him and Real Madrid will buy him in two seasons for silly money.

That's my prediction anyway.

We don't have any cash as it is.

You lot would be fuming if we paid all this money and then he barely played for us due to injury issues.

What, like Mirallas?

I just find it a bit strange, tbh.

With Lescott: "Oooh he has dodgy knees" and yet there has never been a problem with them, and he now finds himself playing at the richest club in the world. Stoke turn down Demba Ba, because "Oooh he has dodgy knees", and yet there has never been a problem with them, and he now finds himself playing for possibly the second richest side in the world.

Meanwhile, Mirallas had no dodgy knees, and yet he can't play for more than 30 minutes without getting injured.

Twente chairman is carrying on like a right media tart. I'm no fan of Bill, but at least he hides his ugly mug away for much of the year.

Does anyone know what specifically is wrong with his knee? I'm intrigued. Maybe they only found one knee cap across both knees?!

It's not much solace at this point I suppose but I'm reading in a couple of Dutch news items it's become apparent that his court case is regarding a minor offence which he will be fined or at worst have community service. So there's that.

Still think this will go through, the player and Moyes both seem to really want it. Only fear is that Twente have gotten annoyed at our attempts to haggle and refuse to do business anymore. Just our luck to be dealing with one of the few clubs in the Eredivisie that are on firm financial footing.
