The failed medical busiiness: the lad could go out and do a triathlon right now. He hasn't failed anything. It's guarantees he wont break down in the future which are the sticking point. And very unreasonable of Everton it is too.

Posting the agreement on the OS before the medical and personal terms were agreed is ridiculous. But I don't remember anyone in an uproar two days ago when it was posted. Fact of the matter is that most supporters demand to know and the club caved.

How on earth is it unreasonable ? The terms agreed to between the clubs did not detail these injury issues.

This only seems to happen to Everton, do we not know how to sign players or not? Announce the deal when we actually sign the player, look at Holtby at spurs, only announced when he signed a pre season contract. We are made a laughing stock in the premiership everytime we seem to go for a player, I think we have the worst transfer policy in the premier ship.

Nail on head. There may be legitimate concerns over Fer's knee and the club might be doing the right thing on this occasion but the facts are that we have been shafted and led up the garden path so many times about transfers that is it any wonder we are so suspicious. Our record at conducting transfers is appalling its so unprofessional.

Lot of fumes on this thread - but its not as if a deal has collapsed that would have brought Savannah Leaf to Goodison.

Deary me. Of course it's unreasonable to expect a club you agreed a fee with 24 hours earlier to accept worse terms by expecting them to take less - in other words, EFC are looking for them to take on the burden of guaranteeing his fitness for years ahead. Unreal.

Which is absolutely sensible and the right thing to do IMO.
