But we still have 8.6m to spend. We were going to pay on the drip yes, but it's still there to spend.

Moyes was saying before that we could barely afford loans, so we've revealed our hand now and clubs will know that there is money available even if they have to wait for it. Which means that they'll negotiate harder with us.

Resist the temptation to have a go at other blues. It's a bit raw at the moment. We dont want to go back to the days of 'conspiracy theorists' on one side and 'apologists' on the other. We lost out on a player. Those of us who point to previous cock ups are not tin foil hat wearing loonies; and those who accept the clubs line on an injury issue are not Billy Liars best mates.

Like when we tried to buy Moutinho for £15m.

And then bought Fellaini, for £15m.

Get a list of all the players we've brought in for a medical who we didn't sign because it was a fake bid. I'm waiting.

So we can expect a similar bid for a similar type of player then can't we? And we won’t be turning to inferior targets at a fraction of the price, will we?

Having a medical isn’t a pre-requisite for a fake bid, and if you honestly believe that the ‘bids’ for Kuyt, Smith and Shearer etc were genuine, then more fool you.

I'm just gonna post pictures of Steve Mcdonald off Corrie instead

Clubs have internal valuations on their players, if they are met then the player will be sold. Whether Everton have 8.6 million or not is completely irrelevant.

The thing that has disappointed us yet again is having it plastered all over the os before the transfer was concluded. We were told after the sissoko deal when we announced we had agreed a fee, and the RS nipped in and took him, that we wouldn't announce anything until it was all completed. Do the hierarchy in this club ever learn?

i feel sorry for the player , i feel sorry for the manager and most of all i feel sorry for the fans.
i understand why the club have pulled out and also respect fc twente resolve on the matter.
on the one hand the club look astute for not risking the fee , on the other we look like a joke for yet another hyped up transfer failure.
mixed emotions all round. never straight forward at everton is it ?
