If we had 8.5 million to spend then there wouldn't be a problem, we'd just sign a similar player at a similar cost, but we don't have anywhere near that amount of money, so it will be an inferior player at a lower cost.

Nobody ever pays for a player upfront...cashflow. Whoever else we went in for would be in installments.

The money is available over a certain term. We need to find a club prepared to wait for the full amount. It shouldn't be that difficult, so there's no reason why we should now start shopping for Â£2-3m pound players.
