Leroy Fer

Why would we sign diame if we didn't sign Fer based on 'potential injuries' Diame needs to have a defib on the side of the pitch every time he plays in case he has a heart attack.

Dont buy the fake bid line, but the incompatence of our board is tiresome, nothing ever goes smoothly ffs!

If the 8 mill was there to be spent then it is not a risk to the club in terms of the clubs well being financially, and I woiuld actually be all for taking a risk if we can afford it, which if the bid is genuine we can, 4th spot is up for grabs, we need to go for it in all ways that we can. The club may yet still spend, so I'll reserve judgement till the 1st, then I'll be going on a killing spree

it will all be forgotten if we buy one or two before the deadline, normally im ready to but the boot into kenwright and co , putting it on the os was a mistake but from then on i dont think they could have handled it any other way, we haven't the money to take a gamble

I think its increasingly clear that, with the failure of bids for Banega, Moutinho and now Fer, and Gibson's injury problems, that Phil Neville has some kind of Lady Macbeth style hold over the midfield.

Canst thou not minister to a mind diseased,
Pluck from the memory a rooted sorrow,
Raze out the written troubles of the brain
And with some sweet oblivious antidote
Cleanse the stuff'd bosom of that perilous stuff
Which weighs upon the heart?

Bang on the money mate.

From the Club: "We'll go with what we've got"

Club captain Phillip Neville has come out with a staunch defence of the club's transfer policy - and, an inspiring call-to-arms for both players and fans.*
"We knew the gaffer was working hard to bring in fresh legs, but with them having Les Mis on the big screen, what chance did Bill have?" said Neville. He was quick to add he felt "as fit as ever and ready to play wherever needed".
Boss Moyes echoed the sentiments of his captain. "We gave them both the same medical and, once our CEO had verified the results, you couldn't tell who was 36 and who was 23. If I could have it my way, I'd offer Phil a new 3 year contract tomorrow" said Moyes. "I have absolute control over transfers here and it was my decision and mine alone to try and offer what Bill could find down the back of the couch instead of the agreed 3 million. The squad is perfectly healthy and full of competition: we'll go with what we've got"
"Here here" added Phil.
And, no doubt, blues everywhere can raise a drink to that.

This is silly, See Damba Ba

But no, keep the Cognitive Dissonance mentality, its amusing

Ba was signed by West Ham as a pay per play because of his knee.

He was then left on a free to Newcastle because of his knee.

He had a tiny release clause in his contract because of his knee.

The risk premium was built in during each and every stop. Just because you ignore it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Oh well, we wait for Bungling Bill to say on Friday that they tried as hard as they could to sign someone and failed as they ran out of time.
