so... I very much doubt this is the case but this could be a very clever negotiation tactic... calling their bluff.

in my fantasy world we now make a very public move for someone that plays the same position and hope twente come crawling back accepting our renogiated deal..
 

Yes the disappointment is palpable after the announcement on the OS. It's a bit like imagining a reversing the play in the last Derby. We were pretty chuffed to come from 2-0 down to get a draw. Imagine how we'd feel if we'd had a 2-0 lead and blown it. Much better if we'd only heard rumours etc of a player being lined up and then it all going quiet. Unfortunately in the present day that sort of thing never happens (twitter et al). So, having been given a strong hint we were going to buy someone we all feel let down. If however we'd only have crumbs to work with we might have said "obviously there was a problem in the medical" and been scratching around for answers - instead many of us prefer to find the club culpable of some sort of subterfuge - even to the point of pretending they wanted to buy someone they couldn't afford as a means to keep us quiet.
 

I could see Moyes going back for Fer and trying to get it sorted as I see him as an exciting signing for EFC. If not I won't be happy if we sign two average players on loan. These are the type of signings Everton should be getting, players who have shown massive potential whilst looking ready for improving our starting eleven straight away. We are in a really good position at the moment and this transfer window could shape the rest of the season and whether we qualify for europe or not. If Mirallas and Gibson carry on being injured for most of the season I can see us slipping down the league and finishing around 8th/9th.

Always a 50-50 chance of it going wrong. You can't really give 10mil to that, now can you? Unless you're 'Arry and have enough money to spend.

The lads saying that we should be getting stuff done early, how do you know that we Havnt been? We may have already held talks with Capoue and it didn't work out, we went in for M'Vila and sadly missed out and now we have tried to get Fer and failed. Probably enquired about players too that don't get heard in the media.
