Like the look of this fella, young midfielder, got couple of caps under his belt for national squad, likes a slide tackle too. Can see him covering for Fellaini when he is next banned for cumulative yellows...

"Much help?" Have you seen our options in midfield at the moment? Hitzlesperger or Neville with a tired Osman. I'd say, he'll be greeted as if we'd signed Iniesta and Messi in a double swap involving Mucha and Naismith!

While another midfielder might be of help to Everton, I'm not sure if Fer himself is ready for it just yet. He's a 23 year old midfielder who moves to Everton midway into the season (so doesn't have a pre-season here). As a Dutch guy, I know the step from the Eredivisie to the PL is a huge one, especially phyisically and the pace of the game as well. What I mean is that he'll need time to adapt. I don't think he'll be an instant succes for Everton this season. If given time he could be huge for you guys, but right now, I don't think he'll help out to much. He was playing well in the Netherlands, but it was not like he was one level above everyone else (like Vertonghen and Suarez actually were when they were moving). Basically, Fer is a good signing, will become a vital player for Everton in the (near) future, but I don't think he's the one to save your season by getting Everton into the top four.
