Why sell a goal scoring england international defender for less than what Citeh can afford with less than 5 days to go in the transfer window?

We're [Poor language removed] at negotiating deals and 5 days is too short a time (unless players have been lined up) to spend a load of money on a temp replacement for the rest of the season. Baines would've been an obvious choice to go if Yobo hadn't have been injured, and its been stated Moyes doesnt want to sell anyone.

If he is forced out, what does that say to the rest of the team and Moyes? The price is too small, the player too valuable, the squad too thin, the moral high - does BK want to destroy all that for a pittyful £12million?
