Let’s talk about Nottingham Forest

PL are under huge pressure from various bodies to hit them hard after their recent outburst in regards to the refs, NES was still chucking sly digs at the refs the other day in the pre match interview against City.

Their overspending is summed up with Andre Ayew on a 50k (€) p/w salary.
Not really needed at the time, but because they could, they did.
It may have even been just so Everton were not able to sign him, because from memory, we were interested and had a shortage of options up front.

30 players they signed in total. I know they had a range of contracts/loans expiring, but wow. 30.

They’ve signed 3 goalkeepers THIS SEASON, and all of them have been first choice at various points. So because they signed a crap keeper, they just solved the issue by buying another one. I don’t see how they have a leg to stand on if they’re hoping to avoid a points deduction.

The way the relegation battle is shaping up, the easiest thing for the PL to do is to ensure that the "independent" commission doesn't give Forest any points back.
As it stands, Burnley, Luton and Forest are all fighting from their current positions. For a reduction in the points deductions to throw another twist in at this stage would be unacceptable for Luton or Burnley if it meant they went down because of it.

For that reason, I can't see the appeal changing it. It's already a farcical situation, but to arbitrarily change the league table again at this stage would make a mockery of the whole league.
I completely get the argument about points earned on the pitch being the ONLY thing that should matter, and so for that reason Luton and Burnley can't really complain if they go straight back down, but for the PL to constantly fiddle with the table, giving them hope then taking it away (plus being a complete aggravation/derailment for anyone who gets a points deduction and still stays up) is just ridiculous.

Because I just think they will

I don't think they deserve to in all honesty, but it's just a feeling I have
If they get an IC pannel like we have had, they could well see themselves getting another 2 points taken off them. They have no basis for less than 6 points given their 2 point reduction for cooperation is now out of the window with their appeal.

As much as we want forest do go down I still think dyche has an affinity for Burnley even though they sacked him and I think he will try and do everything he can to help them which includes trying to beat luton on Friday
However he also lives and socialises in Nottingham so may try to appear as neutral as possible.
