Lily livered EFC Fans

That'd be the Everton fans who daubed graffiti on Howard Kendall's garage and stayed away in their thousands for the Coventry game while those present called for a bona-fide club legend's head. Only in the job 'cos he's an ex-player.

Yet not being happy with the absolute dross that a Kopite has-been serves up is somehow entitled and shameful.

Well that won’t be happening now will it. Fans didn’t even want to miss a single minute of Benitez ball to protest the board when given the opportunity. They can’t stay away now.

Perhaps banners against the board and players might be worth a try rather than the relentless campaigns against manager after manager.

What next lads?

Given that the same fans have been accused of "hounding" players out of the club then I'd say they're pretty much on top of it.

Get behind a manager and not hound them out at the drop of a hat.
Benitez was hounded out by the Goodison crowd from Day One.

Astonishing revisionism, even for you Dave.

We sort of get what we deserve. When I walked out of the Park End on 27 mins, I got shouted at and spat at (by a man singing/shouting at me) but at least me and my son did something, all the rest of you can’t be arsed cry arses should be ashamed….end of….
I didn't walk out but I fully accept your right to protest. I'm conflicted about going to the next few games as I feel the atmosphere, the performance and the result won't do my (stress/heart) health any good.

One is practically a pillow case, and the other doesn’t make sense to anyone outside the fan base and could be directed at anyone. They’ve only just appeared very recently as well.

Can’t remember any players being hounded out the club, Michael Keane is putting the ball in his own net most weeks and he’s still got a massive following.

any more lies you’d like to make up in a futile attempt to defend an incompetent manager?

Again, everything you see is through the lens of the manager such is your obsession.

You’re either unable, or unwilling to see the biggest picture at the club, all you’re doing is kicking the can down the road for a later date.

No one that I can remember ever came on here saying Benitez was brilliant, or that any performance was brilliant, or that he was without fault for anything. Instead his so called ‘supporters’ largely held a view that the real problems at this club lay in the boardroom and the players and that the next manager (which then turned out to be Benitez) has to survive the players. Then what occurred was just senseless criticism of anyone who held this view as being kopites, Benitez fan boys etc. Even now myself and others are saying he now needs to be fired but the players also have to be looked at and even this isn’t enough for you lot.

You’re literally flogging a corpse now such is your obsession.

You are the gardener who cuts the head off a weed then wonders why it keeps growing back. We’ll be back here again in 12-18 months unless major changes occur in the playing squad. If you can’t see this then I don’t know what more evidence you need that hasn’t been supplied in the last 5 years.

Except the very post before you said “you can’t see…” I said that Benitez wasn’t the biggest long term problem at the club. So you’re absolutely full of it.

Here you go, since memory isn’t your strong suit:

Benitez was perhaps not the biggest thing wrong with this club long term, but he was the most pressing, most urgent, and most easily fixable. Of course that’s where the focus was.

Just because you and a few others decided to inexplicably prostrate yourselves at his feet doesn’t make that any less true.

Some of us are capable of holding more than one thought in our heads, and prioritising one over the other, not necessarily by the SIZE of the problem, but by the urgency and immediacy of that problem.

Which I could half believe if you hadn’t have been going at this all season. The manager was not the biggest and immediate problem early on in the season, or even once the bad form hit. As soon as we hit the first rough patch though the majority descended on him.

Now I agree with you that he is the most easily fixable problem, but a month or two ago he wasn’t. It was the players in the squad, but most didn’t want to hear that at all. The best fix would have been Keane Coleman being taken out the team but you could barely air this view without a cohort of Benitez bashers pouncing on you. Ultimately Benitez failed to do that though so wrote his own P45 but how anyone was intially backing these players, Brands, Baxendale, even Kenwright over a manager who at the time had just walked through the door is beyond me.

As I said though, the constant gardeners will be out tending the weeds again next year wondering what’s happened.

See you fell at the first hurdle AGAIN. I haven’t been going at this “all season”. It’s been plainly obvious he wasn’t up to the task for the past ~2 months.

I didn’t want him, that’s true (and has proven prescient), but once he got the job I badly wanted him to succeed.

He wasn’t up to it.

That’s what the #27 campaign is about.
This doesn’t stop because fat kecks has/will be volleyed from the club, he was just part of the problem.

It’s one down 3-4 more to go
