Don’t think anyone is giving richarlson a free pass, but he definitely needs to up his game, he is a match winner and he better start very soon showing the class he has,

Gordon as an impact from the bench for the last half hour, Mina for Holgate when (if!) he’s fit. I’d be tempted to try Branthwaite or Godfrey in the midfield as a proper ball winning player capable of covering ground quickly. Wouldn’t need to go anything fancy with the ball, win if and get it to VDB or Doucoure to push forwards.

I would use gray as an impact sub or bring him and move Richarlison to centre as neccessary depening on DCL’s injury situation.

This is by no means me suggesting that I trust this 11. Gomes can be shocking, Coleman is finished at premier-league level and Keane is as dodgy as they come.

However, this team offers some solidity for balls coming into the box, offers some protection for the back 4 and for as bad as he can be, offers someone in gomes capable of taking a pass and moving the ball between the lines which is something we are desperately missing.

I am open to others inputs, but I am really struggling to find any 11 that gives me any confidence of getting out of this.

If DCL is injured we have to have a 9 - so Rondon has to come in.

Drop Richy or DCL / Rondon and either play Mykolenko as extra defender or Townsend to bolster midfield.

Holgate and Kenny are not good enough and Gordon whilst pacey is too weak and is shocking defensively. Useful impact sub for counter attacks.

And before anyone starts saying ah Rondon's rubbish or Keane is rubbish etc, yes i know, they-re ALL RUBBISH. But this is our best chance of a win i feel.

451, counter attacking with Gordon, Gray and either Doucs or VDB to join Richy when they break.

We cannot afford to be overrun in midfield. It happens every single game. 5 at the back is a waste of time as our defence are appalling Why use up a spot for a 5th player in defence when we could use it for an extra player in midfield which gives us at least two quick players to join Richy on the counter.

It's crazy, what I think is our best back 4 have not played together at all, 1 of them is still 'potential' at his age(kenny) and three are young & untested! Nice recruitment guys.
