Acceptable result considering we had Yak, Saha, Yobo, Arteta, Fellaini and Vaughan out - apart from the 20 minutes after half time we competed with a full strength Liverpool squad at their own ground.
Not only that, the referee was atrocious. Stupid bookings and fouls against our players yet none for theirs (apart from Carra?!) - yet they were allowed to get away with murder. It was a free kick if one of our players nudged one of theirs in the air but not the other way round. But worst of all was the diving - it's part of their entire teams' game. Riera and Mascherano were guilty more than twice and therefore shouldn't have been on the field at the end. Riera especially as he should have been carded for hacking down one of our players as well.
Bit disappointed with Osman and Castillo. Both kept giving the ball away too often. Having said that, there wasn't much on to pass to! Cahill was also relatively quiet, but again, because we were more defensive he had bugger-all support. Jags and Lescott though proved they have to be our first choice defensive pairing. Feel sorry for Yobo, but at least we are have three top-class centre-halves.

Oh and the commentators on Setanta can **** right off - bunch of sycophantic ******s.
