How true is that. It was Bennett that took care of him last year. It should have been done today at least the card waving I thought that was now automatic obviously not.

Anfield Atmosphere

Wasnt just me who thought it was piss poor;

First off, you're wrong. The Toffee fans sang their hearts out. They outsang us for most of the game. And I reckon if they support their team and the team plays and defends as well as they did against us, they will definitely do us a HUGE favour and take a point off ManU. They could bear ManU too if they show the same resolve as they did against us but I'm not holding my breath because they won't want to see us profit from their success.

This was my first match at Anfield and I was almost embarassed to be there. It was nerve-wracking and titchy...not because the players were not playing well but because the fans were nervous, doubtful and resentful. I hate that about us. Why can't we support the team when they're behind?

This is why people like Torres are finding it easier to score away this season. And that's why "Mr. Ferguson" had a point: But it's not the players who are getting "nervous." IT'S THE FANS!

Yes, it was "magical" after Stevie scored. But what is the purpose of being a fan if we can't cheer the team when they're losing? From what I saw at Anfield today, it seems we're the sort who only sing when we're winning. And that's a crying shame.

Our fans were great. :)

Thats from a Liverpool forum by the way. I never look but a friend directed me to a few threads. Isn't half funny to read.

40m gross expenditure this summer and what are we left with?

a 20m striker who isnt picked and when he is looks [Poor language removed]
a 7m defender who is our 3rd choice left back now
a 3.5m keeper who's ok but always never plays
a 1.5m backup striker who has looked out of his depth when he's had game time
a 8m attacking midfielder who is solid but inconsistent.
Our club is infested with cocks from top to ******* bottom. This thread is shameful at times.

He'll be pilloried as an OOTer and burnt as an offering to St.Rafael for a good Spring harvest in Donegal.

no reading the whole thread but my views go like this.
1. mascherano is a bell-end
2. what was howard doing for that goal?
3. if half of their players played with half the determination and bravery of us they probs might win the league (big might).
4. what price jagielka? immense, again.
5. fellaini, arteta and possibly saha back for the replay.
6. gosling deserves to start, osman had 2 bad games this week.
7. cahill pointing to the kop after the goal.
8. benitez's press conferences make me laugh.
9. kopites may say it was a 1 sided game which it was unfortunatley but what did they do with the possesion we kept giving them? nothing.
10. last but not least, WE'RE GONNA SMASH THEM AT GOODISON!!!!!!

thought Pienaar and the back four were excellent. Pineaar was a gem in midfield and brilliantly whipped in corner to set up our goal. Jagielka and Lescott were simply phenomenal

I'm gonna have a shitty day at work tomorrow due to being rostered on for shitarse job and falling out with my boss.

And if we had lost today the rs i work with would of just made it unbearable (not even mentioning the local lads who take the piss out of me cause Everton wear blue and so do Ipswich).

But even though we didnt win i'm gonna have fun winding up those rs about how [Poor language removed] their team of multi million pound players are cause they didnt even have the balls or the heart to beat our depleted team.
