Im actually amazed that we got anything out of that game. Yet again we looked timid infront of them, and as I expected our more "flair" players i.e. Arteta and Pienaar both had off-games.

Also, im sorry Victor, but you are just [Poor language removed] shocking. I've never seen a player struggle so much to keep a ball under control and to stay on his feet long enough. He did well to get into the area that he did so why the [Poor language removed] did he insist on going down when it would have been easier to shoot?? It's because of that incident that I hold him responsable for their goal. I said it the other week, but he really needs to cut the [Poor language removed] out of his game - deeply frustrating.

It was also clear that we badly missed Marouane in the middle, which was part of the reason why Mikel looked lost throughout the game.

Even though Jags played well I actually thought Baines should have got MOTD, simply because he made the least errors (sorry Phil, thought Torres pen claim should have stood) and did well going forward.

Having said all that, im still [Poor language removed] made up that we grabbed that equaliser just to shut the fuckers up and keep them from going top again! COYB!!!

Disagree with everything written in that post.

We matched them in the first half, possibly edged it in my opinion. They had more of the ball but we looked far more dangerous on the break. In the second half they had alot of the ball, they usually do at Anfield. They pin every team back there, it doesn't matter if it's Man utd or Everton. They are very strong side.

Arteta and Pienaar worked there socks off and Arteta and Neville in particular gave us a good base to build on. Neither side got there foot on the ball in the middle, everything was coming from wide positions. None of our midfielders looked lost though.

I don't know how you can say that about Anichebe, everyone who's fair could see that he played well and worked his socks off. He was getting hold of the ball and keeping it for us, great performance by him. Everyone (even his haters) have been praising him.

Probably the best performance we've had against Liverpool for ages, we made them look average with limited resources. Every player contributed.

Sorry so many of you seemed to disagree with me, but from where I was sitting the writing was on the wall at half time. We were second best to everything and it was clear that the game wouldn't swing in our favor... we couldn't even pass the ball straight to another blue shirt without making a meal of it at times!

Again, i was amazed yet increadibly relieved when Timmy bagged that goal!

No, I didn't miss them, but then again they weren't the best of efforts anyway.

Gerrard's goal was their only shot on target, I believe?

Sorry to double post but I just need to reiterate this...

I thought the performance overall was more than satisfatory. The back line in particular impressed me save for a couple of hairy moments. My main gripe was with the midfield. I just felt Arteta started climbing back into his shell a little bit and that Stevie P was playing too many sloppy passes for my liking. Against a team like Liverpool you often can't afford to do that so frequently. It was because of this that I felt we were under the cosh for most of the game and found it hard to see us getting a goal, let alone a result. We didn't offer much of a real attacking threat and we weren't getting up the pitch as far as they were.

Again though, I mainly attribute that to the absense of a certain Mr Fellaini.

So you honestly thought that we weren't second best in the middle of the park for most of the match?
