Liverpool council threaten legal action over Merseyside derby

Police don't have the numbers to police a high profile football game and a buisy night in town at the same time.

Sunday night or midweek is different because you don't get the same number of people in town as on a Saturday
Why haven't the police got the numbers --- the club pays a fortune every game for them to normally stand around doing f all. There's even hundreds of them deployed when the likes of Fulham and QPR bring their 100. But when there's a derby, and they might have to actually undertake proper crowd monitoring and some crowd control they shout foul.

Someting tells me if this game was being player at Anfield this wouldnt be going on and 5.30 they wouldnt protest about but because its at Goodison there is a fuss being made

Assume this is all sorted.....OS just posted details on purchasing tickets for Members from Friday at 8am and no mention of a ko time change....

Furthermore no credits needed for remaining tickets that go on general sale from 7th......assume this is down to fact there will be very few if any left....

Good shout Ben about the ticket details, although i wouldn't take it for granted just yet, i'm sure the club will still roll over if told to.

A warning for anyone buying tickets: if the game suffers a change to the match date or KO time and you can't make it as a result you won't get your money back. This rule was adopted a couple of seasons ago. Having been caught out then i asked the club whether it was legal to not return the money in these circumstances. Amazingly they didn't know, so they gave me my money back. Since the rule is still in place i can only presume the legal side has now been checked out.

It won't get switched to a 12:45pm Saturday kick off, as Arsenal vs Spurs is taking place at that time on BT Sports, plus BT hold the exclusive rights to show Prem games at 12:45pm on Saturdays. Sky have already picked Everton vs Liverpool as one of their games to show.

If it gets switched, it will have to be switched to the Sunday. This will also involve another game switching from the Sunday to the Saturday. There are no Monday night games that weekend, as there will be a full fixture programme in the following midweek a few days later.

Lots of complications/hassle for Sky if LCC/police try to move this. Ultimately money will talk.

The way we are playing atm/ Robles in net we could play it with 40,000 evertonians on Acid in the stands and we would still get tonked

If the police get it moved, SKY will just show another game from that day. So we could lose out on the tv cash as well.

We can have the bizzies as another scapegoat, get in.
