i think it is time to put forward a motion to halt singing “ theyre by far the greatest team the world has ever seen “ as that is liverpool.

As much as I hate to watch them (seen them live twice since May last year), I’m fine when it comes to looking at stats.

Since May 2018 when they defeated Brighton in the last game of the 2017-18 PL season, in the league they have:

Played 62
Won 53
Drawn 8
Lost 1

Since that one loss (2-1 PL defeat to Man City in January 2019) they have

Played 40
Won 35
Drawn 5
Lost 0

Last 38 league games they have accumulated 104 points. For comparisons sake, the benchmark in England regards greatest side was the Arsenal “invincibles”, won 26 and drew 12 of their 38 games, so 90 points (plus a huge black mark against that side has always been they did diddly squat outside England, apart from getting tonked).

I think you have to look outside England to find a team to compare this RS side with, and for me it’s AC Milan (forget the Barca of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, that’s by far the greatest side of the last 40 years).

12 draws, but the Italian league being the best defensively it’s harder to accumulate wins. Run ends after 58 games.

looking at City,s fixture between now and the Goodison derby,I think it,s likely the RS will clinch the title at our place,City only need to drop 5 points and I think they will concentrate on winning the champions league now the title has all but gone.

Cant wait for Dave Kirby to write a poem about these. He still thinks its 1977 and he's gone to Rome or on the rob in Paris nicking Sergio Tacchini t-shirts.

Fecking kopite stats eh lad? Ha ha ha......smells here...

They're very good and Klopp is a clever manager.
Next season may be different altogether provided certain other clubs get their act together.
