1.30 am kick off for me and I record it. We have to be on our way to visit our daughter 95km away at 7.00am and I don't know
whether to check the score before I go or ignore it for as long as possible.

It's an expected loss, so I won't be that upset if we lose, but I'd still rather not know.

That’s not true though is it. I can think of three off the top of my head.

4 in the PL plus 1 in the FA Cup, and 19 draws since 16 April 2000. It's all irrelevant anyway. If you could reliably predict results purely on past performance there would be no point in playing any games and the bookies would be out of business.
