When Dyche came in we were the worst team (in terms of form) of all the clubs of all the top 5 divisions of Europe.

We all agreed it would take a miracle for him to keep us up and maintain our incredible top-flight record, especially given that his first two games were the league leaders and then the RS away. In the last few years I've been to Anfield three times and I've seen us lose by 3 goals or more on each occasion. It's just an awful ground for us right now.

All we as fans can do to save our great club is do what we end towards the end of last season - get behind our manager, get behind our team and create an incredibly hostiler atmosphere for opposition teams.

That's what the RS fans did last night.

I think Coady summed it up perfectly, No chance would such an experienced defender leave that ball unless he got a call. which he didn't..
Coady left that ball cos he's still worrying about previous own goals. It was a total Psychological error. And that seriously worries me ( as if I wasn't worried enough already ) We have absolutely no hope if we cant get the players mindsets back to 'what I can do' rather then 'what I can't do'

You make more mistakes when your worrying about making a mistake...
Such a good point.

His nerves are getting the better of him.

The question is: how can we as a club improve his confidence?

Hard to say that - much better EFC teams have rocked up to Anfield and had 3-4+ goals put past em.

Fans got way too carried away by their poor away form - they still play alright at Anfield and we're their cup final / playing a league one kid up top.

Gutting to lose to the scum but Leeds is the big game.
This sums it all up. A far better result than we're used to at Anfield, quite frankly.

Having slept on it, I’m more frustrated than I was after the final whistle. A great chance to beat a crap Liverpool team, pile the pressure on that Teutonic whopper, and send a message to the rest of the struggles that the arsenal result want a fluke, and we serve up that!? Unacceptable.

There was the Everton were know and hate - slow, laboured, weak, timid, half arsed and beaten before a ball was kicked.

Everything that was good against arsenal was missing, and it had nothing to do with the rs stopping us from playing well, we just never got started.

The midfield went awol again, and allowed a poor Liverpool team to dominate them, and there’s zero snide in our team.

We are unlucky not to score but it’s just rank amateur defending with no tactical fouls and a brain fart from Pickford to gift wrap the 1st goal - same for the second, with coady switching off.

Awful performances from far too many in blue - I can take getting outplayed and losing if we match them in terms of effort and workrate, but it was yet another derby surrender and way too comfortable for them.

Sadly we’ve surrendered against far too many average teams already this season, last night was just another example.

Dyche will earn every penny of that bonus if he can keep us up with these mentality midgets in our squad.

Referee was absolutely fine.

We had far too many passengers. Really makes we fear for our chances this season given we didn't work the goalkeeper once.

I doubt any team has been 18th after 22 games and survived by thinking, if they score, it'll only be from set pieces.

Forget it. Move on. Let's get up for Leeds. Simms is not the answer though. Not impressed with his work rate whenever I've seen him

That was a typical Everton performance from Everton this season.
Timid, losing most of the 50/50
Offered nothing going forwards.
I would rip that defence to bits its to slow by far.
Taking out Coleman and Coady could do wonders for us. Patterson and Godfrey would give us pace and athleticism.

Crap nornally yes, but to be fair they werent last night. Raised their game massively. Im sure they will revert to crap next week. As someone had said previously, they have won their cup final, we have ours on Saturday which we must win!
